Collaberotica December 20
- Added text to the like/follow buttons
- Brushed up how the story/chapter navs look
- Per announcement here, the “micro” genders have been removed. See that post for reasoning. Stories/Chapters that had micro gender categories have been switched to the normal gender categories. They have been given the “size difference” and “smaller male/female/(etc)” tags as appropriate.
- Additionally, the “Q” gender has been removed, because it has seen virtually no use. The 4 chapters using it have been switched to NB.
December 15
- Fixed an issue with tag search (searching for multiple tags wasn’t filtering correctly)
- De-emphasized the story updated time on story cards
- De-emphasized the chapter created time on chapter cards
- Updated how comments look
- Added a clearer error message when attempting to add a chapter to an author-restricted story you aren’t an author of.

Introducing: Collections
Collections are a way for you to organize stories and chapters you like, and share them with the world. Everyone can now create collections and add stories/chapters to them.
This is a new top-level feature! On the “Collections” page, you can see the collections people have created:
While reading a story/chapter, use the new “Collect” button on the navbar to add it to a collection:

From here, you can add it to any collection of yours.
Of course, you can also create a collection. You can create a public collection, which other people can see, or you can create a private collection:
A couple empty collections are already created for you, for ease of use.
To see your private collections, go to your user page:
This is the first time that readers will really able to promote and share works within CollabErotica, so I’m excited to see how people use collections.
Some ideas:
- A collection of works that you think deserve more recognition
- A private collection of works you want to read, but haven’t read yet
- A collection of works that really scratch your particular itch ;)
By the way, this is an “MVP” or “first draft” of the collections feature. There are a couple things I want to add, including a way to see which collections a story/chapter has been added to. Also, for now, only public works can be added to collections.

- Paths have been upgraded. For interactives, you can now easily read the whole story up to any chapter.
From any interactive chapter, if you select the Path button, this new UI will appear:
This will take you back to chapter 1, with the choice leading to the original chapter highlighted.
As you continue reading, every choice leading up to the original chapter will be highlighted.
The highlights also appear on the Outline:
You can also start the path up to 10 chapters before the selected chapter.

- Fixed how pasted text is formatted. If pasting text into chapter bodies or story descriptions doesn’t work as you expect, please let me know!

I’m planning on doing a couple more redesigns for some other old, inconsistent pages. Behavior and usability won’t be changing very much, just the way things are presented. When will they be done? Who knows :)
